Munnleg geymd og kortlagning minninga / Oral Tradition and Mapping of Memories , 2016
A workshop for Skaftfell - center for visual arts in Seyðisfjörður, Iceland in October 2016. The workshop travelled between all schools in east of Iceland. In it we explored oral tradition and how it manifests in modern times, opposed to the past were individuals relied solely on memory to share stories and knowledge. Each student worked with his own memory and created a map of the memory as well as recording the it. All the memories were presented on one collective map of East of Iceland, put forward as a homepage. There one can view the maps and hear the student retell the memory. The website can be found here. The workshop was created and done in collaboration with Skaftfell's Art Education Project and List fyrir alla.
